BANDUNG – The Indonesian Scientific Society (ISS) has once again carved out a prestigious achievement in the international science competition arena. Through the dedication and professionalism of the organizing committee, the 3rd International Medical Science Olympiad (IMSO) 2026, held virtually, was successfully conducted with both smoothness and a high level of competitiveness.

This year, IMSO drew extraordinary enthusiasm from various parts of the world. A total of 130 participants, ranging from students to high schoolers, competed to showcase their abilities in the fields of medicine and health sciences.

International Participation

This year’s championship was attended by young talents from 4 countries: Indonesia (as the host), Australia, Thailand, Malaysia

The presence of participants from across these nations proves that IMSO has become an important barometer for the development of medical literacy on an international scale, despite the competition being held in a virtual format.

Professional Management and Organization

Despite the significant technical challenges of an online competition, ISS proved its quality through an integrated proctoring system and examination platform. The organizing committee worked professionally to ensure every stage of the competition—from registration to final grading—was transparent, fair, and accurate.
